nuts 200x121 NutsThe nuts are also called the fruits of the winter. This is because they can last longer then other fruits and they help our body during winter time.

Nuts help us during winter time because they are a great source of energy and fat desaturated acids. Saturated acids are present in very small quantities that can be left untaken in consideration. So it is clear that if they give us a huge amount of energy and fat they are useful during winter time when our body consumes a lot more energy and fat to stay worm.

They have a low percent of sugar in them. Only 5-7% for old ones and 10% for fresh fruits. Containing almost 80% fat they give us a big amount of energy almost 525 kcal for 100g of fruits. So that is pretty much. They also contain vitamins like E,B and A.Vitamin B is present from 2 to 10 times more then in other fruits.

Nuts contain a big amount of fiber, 5.5 g in 100g of fruit. If you consume nuts on a regular basis you won’t have heart problems because they protect the cardiovascular system. This is due to the high contain of magnesium. But you also have to take into consideration that nuts are fruits that cause weight gain. Even if you eat them in small quantities (25-50g) due to the high content of protein,fats,vitamins,minerals, magnesium,potasium,phosfor will make you gain fat.

Nuts are also recommended if you feel tired. If so you can prepare a small energy drink from fruit juice with pulp, like apple juice,orange juice or other kind of fruits and then mix this juice with nuts and honey. You will easily obtain a great energy drink that will help you stay up and do your work or your training.
